This was a tune I wrote back in the 90s for Psalm 114. I do not think it has ever seen the light of day, and it probably should have. My beloved Valerie helps me sing it here.

Tremble (Ps.114)

When Israel left Egypt by the hand of the Lord

When deliverance came from the enemy sword

Judah became the place where He lived

And He reigned in their midst

When the Red Sea saw it, it turned and it fled

The Jordan held back and the Lord went ahead

The mountains rejoiced like a lamb in the field

In the presence of their Maker and King

What ails you, oh sea, that you fled?

Oh Jordan, that your waters remained in a heap?

Oh mountains, that you danced like a living thing?

CHORUS

Tremble all the earth at the presence of God

In the presence of Him who dwells with His own

For He has turned the rock into pools of water

For the thirsting of our souls

Tremble all the earth at the power of God

Who can make a heart of flesh from a rock

Who takes your heart of stone and makes it a fountain

Where the living waters flow

Where the living waters flow
